These are traditional black lacquer maidens from the Brest region of Russia. They are known as a Romashki. They have a wonderfully unique shape and headdress. Made in USSR. They have the black lacquer panel on their apron, which is decorated with pretty daisies of different colors. These dolls have the identifying features of brown hair and blue eyes, typical of the Brest region.
