This is an interesting doll from the Brest region. It is solid (not nesting) and is similar to the Brest Chess pieces, but much larger. The doll has a base, so it obviously was not nested within a larger set. The bent arms on the doll are quite large and low on the doll, going all the way to the base, so it looks as it is made to be a maiden from the waist up. Some typical Brest chipping of the paint on the hair.
