This 6” set of Elongated Maidens is listed in the Collector's Guide to Nesting Dolls as from an unknown region of the USSR, but most likely Zagorsk. They are one of the few maiden sets that do not carry flowers. The outer doll has a small paint chip at her waist, a bit of flaking at the waistline on her back, and the lacquer is crazed. The inner three dolls are in beautiful shape. The fourth doll opens, but this does not mean that a 5th one is missing. All the elongated maidens are sets of four only.
