This is a very old set from Russia. the set is of Ukranian Kazak (policemen in old times in Russia). The largest of the three dolls is 5.5" tall. There is a paper inside the doll where it says Made in USSR. The paint on the shoulders of the first doll is crazed and peeling a bit due to age, but it is very beautiful set and otherwise in great condition.
These dolls open in an unusual way. The inner doll is solid, and the middle doll is only a top but completely nests over the small doll. The outer doll has a top and bottom, but the inner lip of the doll is on the top half, and shaped very uniquely.
