These dolls are traditional Polkhov Maidan style. The largest doll has orange hair with bangs and tied in a large pony tail down the back. The inner dolls are painted in a much simpler style with black curly hair.
The dolls are painted in purple, pink, yellow, and turquoise aniline dye. This dye tends to fade easily if the dolls are left displayed in sunlight, as has happened with this doll with the heads of the right side of the outer doll and the left side of the 2nd doll.
