DC11. Satsuma Style Nested Dolls 6 nest, 5.5"

There are 6 dolls ranging from 5 1/2" down to 1/2" and seem to me to be done in the Satsuma style. . These dolls are very old – the seller was not sure of actual age in years but they were handed down to a friend from a family member. They are hand painted in very subtle shades of green and red. The large doll is holding a large paddle in one hand that has a painted picture of an Asian figure on it. The second is holding what appear to be dumbbells in both hands, and the others have hands on their belts. (Doll is circa 1910’s)
