Wonderful vintage egg from the 1960’s is about 2½” tall and 1¾” in diameter at its widest. The outside is beautifully painted in bright yellow with a majestic red and green rooster, very flamboyant looking. When you open up the egg, the top half has been hollowed but the bottom half is still solid wood except for seven ½” round holes that each holding a brightly painted little carved wooden figures (clowns or little soldiers).
