This set was made in China for Authentic Models of Holland, and is one of the Fairy Tale collection. Inside the largest doll is clipping from the catalog which originally sold this set for $19.50.
The clipping says: Pied Piper and his following Nesting Dolls. You can enchant all when you place trinkets or treats inside. Five become one when nesting inside each other.
