This nesting doll is a famous quote by Kurt Vonnegut originally told in an interview from 1977: “The Funniest Joke in the World”. The quote was later memorialized in a silk screen print by Kurt Vonnegut and Joe Petro III.

This is the quote that Kurt Vonnegut selected for his nesting doll. The doll features his signature on the bottom. Kurt Vonnegut died 4/11/2007 and this was one of his last works.
