This is a charming old wooden 4 piece Russian style Polish nesting doll set from the Nowysacz region (possibly made in the 1960's). Good condition for its age, with chips on all dolls, and one crack on the largest and 2 cracks on the 2nd doll. The largest doll is approx 3 1/2" tall. Similar (but newer) dolls are pictured on page 73 of Michele Lefkovitz's book.
