This set is a very unique cultural lesson in traditional Polish costumes. This set features a woman and a man in folk costumes from different areas of Poland:
Krakowski (Krakow in southern Poland, old capitol < 1600)
Szczawnicki (Szczawnica in southern Poland)
Lubelski (Janów Lubelski is a town in eastern Poland)
The smallest doll says “POLSKA”
Each one is hand painted by local artisans in the Belarus community. The dolls are pictured on a lush green forest background.
