Nice set of 5 nesting dolls depict an Amish Family. This set comes with a "Letter of Authenticity" and is signed and numbered on all but the littlest one. The artist, B. Cook explains why there are no faces painted on them, because the Amish never put faces on dolls as they feel that depicting the human face on an object violates the Second Commandment:

Exodus 20:4: “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.”
