This solid little doll is uniquely painted in an almost cartoon style. She wears a tall black cloth hat and has long blonde string hair. She wears striped blue pants or skirt and green polka dot tunic tied around the waste.
Purchased from the Russian Market in Warsaw, Poland, this came from a Ukrainian seller. However it seems to be a copy of a similar doll made in Russia, so it is not signed.
We thought it unusual that the girl holds a bag and a smoking pipe. Do little Russian girls smoke?!? A friend explains that the little girl is preparing a pipe for her dad.
