RA31. Coca Cola Nesting Doll Brochure

photo150.jpg

Brochure featuring a very valuable Coca-Cola nesting doll.

The 1996 Summer Olympics, held in Atlanta, Georgia, inspired the exhibition "The Olympic Salute to Folk Art." The Coca-Cola Company, whose corporate headquarters are in Atlanta, sponsored and hosted the exhibit. Artists from 54 countries used the same canvas; the familiar Coke bottle. They called upon their own folk art traditions and materials to create a fascinating variety of works. A selection of the bottles was recreated in limited editions of 2,500 pieces. The nesting doll now sells for around $500.
