This unusual doll seems to be from the Mordva region of the USSR. The face of the largest doll is somewhat similar in style to Mordva dolls such as AL25.
The doll smallest doll inside is definitely Mordva in style, but could very well be mismatched from a different set. However it is painted with similar red aniline paint, and the patina of the wood, and grain on the bottom of the dolls match the other.
