This large 7 piece set was made in Bosnia and purchased from a gift shop in Tazula, Bosnia 9/2002. The original owner was stationed there with the US Army at Eagle base.
The tallest one is approximately 8 inches and the smallest is approximately 1 1/2 inches tall. The dolls were hand made in Bosnia and are all a natural wood color with wood burned faces and flowers, brown wood stain, gold leaf, and a painted faces. They are unvarnished.
This set is similar to a set sold by Maison Russe for $60 that was listed as Russian Bogorodsk style.
