AV51. Uzbek - Old Solid Islamic Doll 3" - USSR

This is an old solid USSR doll that is very typical for the first Russian Matrioshkas made (non nesting). It is very unique in the use of color and in the painting style. The Russian girl is about 3” tall and we can see some of the more interesting nationalities of the USSR. The face is painted to looks more Asian and the clothes are also very different. This doll may have come from an Islamic region of the former USSR.
