This Authentic Matryoshka 5 Nesting Dolls were made in November 1990 in the USSR/Russia. You can see the date of production at the sticker on the largest doll. The item is really rare because is not produced now. Production was stopped in 1991 after the USSR collapsed. So this doll is one of the latest produced in such design. This five piece matryoshka set is carved out of wood. Each doll is made on a spinning lathe in the shape of a bell. Handpainted and poker-worked. Have been kept in a safe, dry storage. Dolls are in great condition. The biggest doll is 4.72 in high. The smallest doll is 0.83 in.
