This is an unusual pair of little oblong dolls. The dolls are natural wood with outlines on unpainted hair. The dolls are similar in shape to the “Oblong” dolls listed in the Lefkovitz Collector’s Guide book.
However the painting style and faces are identical to the Knitting Doll (AX61) as are the bands painted at the bottom of the dolls. We don’t know where this doll is from, but suspect it is Ukrainian.
