This is a hard-to-find, nesting tea set from Japan. This is a souvenir doll tea set, originally sold in Ocala, Florida and is numbered on the bottom - it is a museum piece! The lid of the orange is painted on the inside, and the tea set pieces are delicately painted as well. The bottom of the saucers is marked "Made in Japan", in purple ink. The set is in excellent condition, and is extremely hard to find, so this is a great opportunity if you have been trying to locate unusual Japanese nesting "characters" or "fruits".
