This flat headed nesting doll is somewhat similar to the traditional Semenov USSR style, but was probably made in China due to the paint style and quality.
The dolls are almost barrel shaped and the faces, while somewhat crudely done are very interesting, but somewhat homely and “pig faced” due to the large nostrils.
These dolls were a gift from a collector in Holland.
