This is a vintage 31/2" x 4 1/2" wooden box in the shape of a farmhouse. The roof is hinged so that it lifts up, and 24 wooden pieces nest inside. The set contains a farmer and his wife, trees, farm animals, and pets. There are also three sections of fence, which do not fit inside the house but can be displayed around it. Mint condition, stamped "Made in Italy". Collector's Guide to Nesting Dolls (page 151) states “all Italian nesting dolls and sets are difficult for collectors to locate."
