Italy:
These sets were probably made by SEVI of Italy (known for making wooden figures and toys) and featured in the book by Michele Lefkovitz, A Collector's Guide to Nesting Dolls on p. 157: “All Italian nesting dolls and sets are difficult for collectors to locate.”
Vintage Noah's ark nesting set from Italy. The ark has round blue portholes on the sides and the red roof swings open to reveal Noah, his wife and 11 animals: 2 brown camels, 2 yellow chickens, 2 orange ducks, 2 white cows, 1 white horse, 1 gray dog and 1 pink pig.
All the pieces are in excellent condition and the ark is also in very good condition with a very small chip on the side of the roof and some glue residue one side.
